Designed with extra-fast and fast actions, the Aramid Veil hoop fiber technology allows for blurring casting speeds and distance, while offering ultra-fast line recovery on the hookset. Up to four times more impact-resistant than ordinary graphites, these rods are durable, yet featherlight.
We've significantly reduced the rod's weight while increasing lateral strength with the Aramid Veil. The lighter tip weights, with the help of the Fuji New Concept Guide Spacing System, diminish wobble--providing perfect tracking for straighter casts that retain energy. This also results in a responsive, balanced touch for pinpoint accuracy with everything from light trout and panfish lures to rod-testing jigs or live bait rigs.
You'll notice every pebble, every grain of sand and the lightest takes because the Fenwick Techna AV is the most sensitive rod we've ever developed. You also might notice a faint hum as the rod whips past your ear. Don't be startled. That's just the sound of a record in the making.

The HMG AV is built with the Concept Guide Spacing and Sizing System for lightweight durability that transmits even the lightest taps without hampering strength. In fact, it increases it. Known as the rod that started the graphite craze, HMG rods feature 100% graphite Carbon Veil Technology in place of more conventional fiberglass scrim. Carbon Veil has a much higher modulus than fiberglass - 84% higher - so less material is needed to achieve the same strength requirements. This higher strength-to-weight ratio produces a lighter blank and increased level of sensitivity.
